If you’ve seen my Instagram you know I am a lover of all things luxury and designer, even on a budget. There is something special about luxury and designer goods that has me coming back time and time again. I love high-quality items that will last for years to come. Of course, there are a lot of designer goods that aren’t worth it as well, and in recent years the overall quality has diminished across the board in favor of higher profits. Even so, there are still some great luxury and designer staples pieces for fall that are worth their high price tag! At the turn of every season, I always look at a designer’s seasonal collection to see if there is anything that piques my interest.
I’m usually just a window shopper when it comes to the latest season designs and instead opt-in for last year or even a few years old pieces. These pieces are not only more affordable but have also lasted the test of time. Many seasonal items are just that – seasonal – and do not transition well in the future. I prefer to invest in more timeless pieces I know I will get wear out of and will look good in the years to come!
A Well Made Belt
I love snatching in my waist with a belt. I am a very pear-shaped gal, so defining my waist is important to my everyday style. A well-made leather belt can last you 10 years or more. When looking for a luxury belt that will last me a decade, I have to take into consideration the style, color, and brand. I like to make sure that if I am spending hundreds of dollars on a belt that it will be timeless and classic for years to come. Small details like the hardware color, the thickness of the belt, and leather color should not be overlooked.
A Pair of Leather Boots
Leather boots just scream luxury to me. A pair of solid, well-made leather boots can last a literal lifetime if properly cared for. Many designer brands are known for their high-quality leather shoes and boots and they don’t come cheap! I purchased a pair of well-made leather boots 7 years ago and they are still going strong! I wore them nearly every day for an entire year and all they needed was to be re-soled after. When buying leather goods do not forget about the maintenance aspect! One of my favorite places to find high-quality boots is from Nordstrom, they have had some great deals lately on designer goods!
A Leather or Sturdy Canvas Handbag
If you asked me to narrow down my handbag collection to my top 5 I wouldn’t be able to, but I do know certain bags are timeless and worth the price tag! I am the self-proclaimed handbag queen, so you know I wasn’t going to leave this off the list! If you’re anything like me then you’re a collector of luxury handbags and have gone a little overboard. If you’re a normal self-controlled human being then owning one or two quality handbags is an essential part of your wardrobe!
Scarves and Other Accessories
Luxury designer accessories are a great way to elevate your wardrobe without breaking the bank. A lovely cashmere scarf or silk twilly can heighten your entire look. I have learned to never underestimate the power of accessorizing – it really is the finishing touch to styling a well thought out outfit. I’ve been loving headbands, they are all over my Instagram feed! My favorite headbands are from Lele Sadoughi and Jennifer Behr. A luxury, high-quality headband will last a lifetime.
You Can Never Go Wrong With Fine Jewelry!
Gold, platinum, and silver oh my! If you want to be REALLY boujie than look no further than fine jewelry. I have been taking steps to expand my fine jewelry collection and stop buying cheap jewelry that will turn your finger green! Fine jewelry can literally last hundreds of years and can be passed down from generation to generation. These pieces are investment pieces and generally tend to hold their value due to being made of precious metals. They also have the potential to turn into sentimental family heirlooms and can hold emotional significance.
