This year from April 1 to 11 is the semi-annual Sephora sale! This is the only major storewide sale until the winter holiday season. It’s the perfect time to restock favorites from the last sale as well as try new items for a great price. I’m sharing all the sale details, shopping tips, new must try products, and the must buy items that I love to repurchase!
Sale Details
As always, the sale is tiered based on reward status with Rouge members recieving 20% off starting April 1, VIB members receiving 15% off starting April 5, and Insider members (and new members) receiving 10% off starting April 7. All tiers use the same code, “SAVESPRING” and the discount percentage will be adjusted based on your account status. Free shipping is available for everyone using code “FREESHIP”. The entire in-house Sephora Collection brand is 30% off regardless of membership status. Additionally, you can receive 2% cash back if you use the Rakuten extension.
Value Sets
Value sets are a great way to try something new or get freebies along with your tried and true favorites! My most important shopping tip for the Sephora sale is to check if the product in your cart comes in a value set before checking out. You can often get your full-size item with a few sample-size products for the same price as the full-size alone!
Must Try: Skincare
I always like to grab new skincare items in the Sephora sale. I’m currently on the hunt for the perfect vitamin C serum. The Herbivore Nova Serum and Farmacy 10% Waterless Vitamin C Serum are at the top of my to-try list! The Dr. Jenner Gross Alpha Beta Daily Essentials set promises clearer, smoother, and radiant-looking skin. According to reviewers, this set is like a professional facial in a box and has received 100% 5-star reviews! I think this must-try product will be a great alternative to expensive professional facials.
Must Buy: Skincare
My two of my current favorite clean skincare brands are Glow Recipe and Drunk Elephant. I love everything I’ve tried so far, and I linked below all the items I’m planning on repurchasing. Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Exfoliant has also been a repeat re-purchase over the recent years. It’s a great salicylic acid that’s strong enough to produce noticeable exfoliation without causing irritation.
Must Try: Makeup
I love trying new makeup products and I always try to grab a few popular new items during the Sephora sale! The sale is the best time to try a new foundation or eyeshadow pallet because the discount makes a big difference on these higher price items. If your foundation shade is sold out, I recommend still buying one in another shade. Before buying, check that the item is carried in your local Sephora store. Then once your shade is back in stock, go and exchange your unopened foundation for your perfect match. This way you keep the sale price!
Must Buy: Makeup
Though I’m often trying out new products, I always keep these staple items on my vanity. These highly rated products are dependable classics that I can always rely on. I like to think of them as the basics of my makeup wardrobe. These are products that I will forever repurchase!
Must Try: Hair Care
I have yet to try many of the hair care brands at Sephora. In recent years, their hair product selection has gone through a major expansion. This year I’m making it a priority to invest in the health and quality of my hair. I think these best selling must try hair products will make a major difference!
Must Buy: Hair Care
The black-owned clean-beauty brand Briogeo is the first hair care line I tried from Sephora and it’s still my favorite! Their Scalp Revival Scrub makes my scalp feel clean, clear, and healthy. I have yet to find a product that tops it! It’s an absolute must have for anyone who skips hair washing days.
