Best Places to Find Designer Sunglasses for a Steal

A great pair of designer sunglasses can pull together a look and make a bold statement. But there is no way I can justify paying $400 or more for pretty plastic. I never pay full price for designer sunglasses and neither should you! If you’re interested in shopping for designer pieces on a budget, sunglasses are the perfect place to start. I love hunting for deals both in-store at designer outlets and online at luxury discount stores. But you don’t have to go to a designer outlet mall to get the best deal! You can get designer sunglasses for a steal at home with these tips and picks from my favorite online stores.

Tips For Getting the Best Deal

  1. Never pay full price for Gucci, Saint Laurent, Chloe, Celine, or Valentino sunglasses – they always go on sale!
  2. If you’re looking for a particular brand and style, use Modsens as a shopping search engine.
  3. Pay attention to return polices and charges online: if you think you might make a return, be aware of any shipping or restocking fees!
  4. If you’re looking for an older discontinued style, the best place to look is on apps like Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, or eBay.
  5. If you love designer steals, check out @luxe__hunt on Instagram to catch deals as they drop on sunglasses, purses, and more.

Nordstrom Rack

Nordstrom Rack is one of the first places I start browsing when looking for new designer sunglasses. A favorite tip of mine is to go to the store to shop and try on sunglasses first. Then I order my favorites from their site to get brand new pristine sunnies. Often they have more colors available online as well!
Nordstrom Rack has a large online inventory with styles ranging from sophisticated to novelty, as well as optical frames. Most of the current selection of designer sunglasses is discounted between 60 to 70% off of retail, and many styles are under $200. Brands inclue Saint Laurent, Gucci, Fendi, Ferragamo, Mui Mui, Balenciaga, Valentino, and Chloe. They provide free in-store 45-day returns at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores. A shipping fee is deducted from mailed returns.

Saks Off Fifth

As the outlet store of Saks Fifth Avenue, Saks Off Fifth has a huge inventory of designer eyewear including newer styles. Designer sunglasses discounts range from 43 to 79% off of retail. They carry designer sunglasses for luxury brands Dior, Valentino, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Tom Ford, Prada, Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander Mc Queen, Coach, and more. Additionally, they carry a large selection of optical frames from brands like Fendi, Bottega Veneta, Tom Ford, Kate Spade, Moschino, Emilio Pucci, and Givenchy.
Some items are final sale. Free shipping is available for purchases over $99. 30-day returns in-store or by mail for online orders. Postage cost deducted from mail returns.

TJ Maxx

TJ Maxx is a unique shopping experience whether in-store or online. They have taken the “deal hunt” experience from their stores to their site by hiding the names of many designer brands. The current hidden designer sunglasses brands include Celine, Gucci, Saint Laurent, and Fendi. By hiding the brand names from their listings, the listings don’t show up on their site’s search results or Google! So if you check their site often you could easily be one of the first to find a great deal! Their current designer deal is a huge selection of Celine sunglasses for $150. Their pricing is based on the designer rather than the original retail price with most styles ranging from $120 to $150. As a result, brands may be priced lower or higher than other outlets.
Free shipping is available for orders over $89. Return within 40-days in-store or by mail for online orders. A shipping charge is deducted from mail returns.

The Outnet

The Outnet is a luxury discount online store from Net-A-Porter. They carry a large variety of luxury items including bags, shoes, and accessories. Their current selection of designer sunglasses ranges between 34 and 50% off retail price. Brands include Gucci, Prada, Givenchy, Off-White, Mui Mui, Bottega Veneta, and Oliver Peoples. Compared to Nordstrom Rack, The Outnet has a much smaller selection and higher prices. However, all of their eyewear styles are very wearable. Plus they provide free standard shipping with complimentary 28-day returns.
